What this tool actually helps you track

The Injection Site Tracker helps you monitor and rotate GLP-1 injection sites over time. Repeated injections in the same area can increase irritation, soreness, bruising, or skin sensitivity, especially for people using medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, semaglutide, or tirzepatide.

This tool gives you a simple way to log previous injection locations, visualize rotation patterns, and reduce the chances of overusing the same injection area. It’s designed for people managing weekly GLP-1 injections, diabetes medications, or weight loss treatment plans who want a more organized injection routine.

Tracking injection placement can also help users notice patterns related to discomfort, swelling, skin reactions, or medication absorption. The tracker is informational only and does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or instructions from your healthcare provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Rotating injection sites prevents lipodystrophy, a condition where repeated injections in the same area cause fat tissue to break down or build up abnormally. This can reduce medication absorption and cause visible skin changes. Systematic rotation ensures each site has time to recover.

You should use a different injection site for each dose. With weekly injections, this means a new site every week. The tracker automatically alternates between left and right sides and cycles through your selected body areas to maximize recovery time for each site.

The abdomen generally offers the best and most consistent absorption rate for GLP-1 medications. However, the thighs and upper buttocks are also excellent options. The best site is one you can comfortably reach and rotate regularly.

Simple Mode tells you which body area and side (left or right) to use for each injection. Advanced Grid Mode divides each body area into a numbered grid of spots, giving you more precise rotation. Simple Mode works well for most weekly users, while Advanced Mode is ideal for frequent injectors or those wanting maximum precision.

Occasional same-site injections are not dangerous, but you should return to your rotation schedule as soon as possible. Consistent same-site use over weeks or months increases the risk of lipodystrophy and reduced medication effectiveness.

Small lumps after injection are common and usually resolve within a few days. However, if you notice persistent lumps, hardened tissue, or skin changes at a frequently used site, contact your healthcare provider. These may be signs of lipohypertrophy, which can affect medication absorption.

Yes. Even weekly injections benefit from site rotation. With only one injection per week, each site gets more recovery time, but rotating still prevents the cumulative tissue damage that can develop over months of using the same area.

Avoid injecting directly into scar tissue, moles, or areas with active skin irritation, as absorption may be inconsistent. Light stretch marks are generally fine, but choose smooth, healthy skin when possible.

That is perfectly fine. Select only the sites you can comfortably reach on your own. The tracker will build a rotation schedule using just your selected areas. Even two body areas provide adequate rotation for most users.

GLP-1 medications should be injected into subcutaneous (fatty) tissue, not muscle. Pinch the skin gently and insert the needle at a 45 to 90 degree angle. If you feel the needle hit muscle or it is painful, you may be injecting too deeply. Consult your healthcare provider if you are unsure about technique.
