Epinephrine Autoinjector Refill

Use your EpiPen at the first signs of a severe allergic reaction — throat tightening, difficulty breathing, rapid drop in blood pressure, or severe widespread hives. Don't wait to see if symptoms improve on their own.

Inject into the outer thigh — through clothing if necessary. The outer thigh provides the fastest absorption. Avoid injecting into a vein, buttock, or finger, as these locations carry higher risk.

Call 911 immediately after using it — even if symptoms improve. Epinephrine is temporary, and reactions can return. Emergency evaluation is always required after anaphylaxis regardless of how you feel afterward.

Racing heart, shakiness, anxiety, pallor, and headache are common immediately after injection — these are expected effects of epinephrine and typically resolve within minutes. They are not reasons to avoid using it when needed.

Store at room temperature, away from extreme heat, cold, and direct sunlight. Check the expiration date regularly and replace before it expires. Always carry two — reactions sometimes require more than one dose.
